Edens Quadrangle

Edens Quadrangle (Quad) opened in 1966 on the West Campus. Edens Quad was named for Authur Hollis Edens, Duke President from 1949-1960. Edens is home to 500+ students, primarily of sophomores made up 7 distinct buildings.  The first 5 built were Edens 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2C.  In 1989, Decker (in honor of Mr. Schaefer’s mother, Ruth Decker Schaefer) and Mitchell Towers (in honor of Mr. Schaefer’s wife, Carolyn Mitchell Schaefer) were built and named in honor of Donor Norb F. Schaefer, Member of Board of Trustees & Indianapolis Businessman and also called 3A & 3B.
