Faculty in Residence (FIR)
- The Faculty-in-Residence Program is one of the ways in which Duke University seeks to facilitate, strengthen, and expand interaction between faculty members and undergraduates beyond the classroom. The Edens Faculty-in-Residence is Benjamin F. Ward, Associate Professor of Philosophy and Associate Dean for Residence Life and Housing Services.
- The Edens Quad Council approved (Fall 2007) and continues the "Community Closet" program for items to be used in the community. This closet is open for residents to sign out items at any time. Please remember to be responsible and considerate by returning equipment in a timely manner and in an orderly manner ready for the next resident to use.

- The Edens Staff have access to check out supplies from the Edens staff office. To check out during the day, call or email the RC, Jon Acton to see if an item is available for checkout and to arrange for pick up. RA's will be available for checking out equipment between 7pm-9pm while on call, paging them by calling 970-1751.

Music Practice Room (Photograph taken in Edens 1A)
- In Edens 1A across from the computer cluster, a music practice room is available 24 hours a day. This room has soundproofing to amplify the practice experience as well, prevent from music practice disturbing neighboring residents above. A piano is supplied in the room.

- During the year, Edens Computer Cluster houses both PC and Macintoshes. These labs are located in 1A and 2A. The entrance doors are labeled for the entrances to these labs in both buildings.
Laundry Facilities (Photograph taken in Edens 1A)

Washing machines and dryers are located conveniently in 1A, 2A 3A and 3B Edens. The Entrance is labeled on the entry door. Washers and dryers cost $1.25 per load. Machines will take both quarters and flex points that can be added to your Duke ID card. For more information about Flex points, contact the Dukecard Office located in the West Union (100 West Union, 684-5800).
Bathrooms
- Bathrooms are located on each floor. Guest Bathrooms are convienently located throughout Edens Quad.
Vending Machines
- Vending machines are located near the laundry facilities in 1A, 2A, 3A and 3B Edens. Each living area has a closet which RLHS equips with cleaning supplies.
