Combining Learning and Living

The Faculty in Residence program has flourished into a program with broad appeal to both students and faculty. Under the direction of Professor Benjamin Ward, the Division of Student Affairs and Trinity College have collaborated to bring a unique flavor to Duke's residential communities. Living in twelve houses on East campus and two of the quads on West campus, the Faculty in Residences (FIRs) are charged with fostering a heightened sense of intellectual curiosity as well providing a unique dynamic to our residential communities.
