Shawhan Lynch has been with Duke University for 24 years. For the vast majority of that time she has been the facilities manager for West I housing. As of July 1, 2005, she became the facility manager for all of West Campus. Shawhan, Dean “Deb”, and their team are located in House D in Craven Quad on West Campus.

Shawhan completed her undergraduate degree at St. Andrews College, but also did stints at North Carolina State University and Virginia Commonwealth University in their design programs. Shawhan attended Appalachian State University for her graduate schooling.

Shawhan has two daughters just back from studies at NYU and currently heading back to their respective college and university openings. At home waiting for Shawhan are Bo, the dog, and Blue and Otis, the fat cats. When she’s not at work you can find Shawhan digging in the dirt in one of her gardens.
