Lisa Beth Bergene (pronounced burr-gah-knee) has been at Duke since Fall of 2003. She currently serves as the Assistant Dean for Residence Life on East Campus. LB has been working with first year students since 1994 in various roles including being a Residence Coordinator, an Academic Advisor, a Conference Coordinator and a Facilities Manager. She is originally from Wisconsin and has a BA in History of Philosophy from Marquette University, a Master of Education from Penn State, and is finishing her Doctorate in Higher Education at NC State.

In her free time, LB enjoys kayaking, swimming, hiking, and playing basketball.
