Deb LoBiondo joined Duke on July 1, 1996 as Assistant Dean for Upperclass and Leadership Programs. She has over 22 years of experience working in residence life and housing. Deb has a BS in Health Education from Montclair State University, a MEd from the University of Georgia, and recently received her basic Emergency Medical Technician certification with the State of NC. She has worked at the University of Georgia, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Montclair State University, and the University of Evansville.
Since the fall of 2001, Deb has been the Assistant Dean of Residence Life and Housing Services for West Campus. In her role as the west campus residential dean, Deb works closely with Residence Coordinators, Graduate Residents, Resident Assistants and Quad Council leaders to create a dynamic, engaging on-campus living experience. She also serves as an Academic Advisor to pre-major first and second year students, is the advisor to the Sophomore Class Council, the Residential Group Assessment Committee, and Camp Kesem. Recently, Deb has been involved in a collaborative research project with colleagues in the Duke Department of Psychology and Neuroscience regarding the development of social relationships of first and second year students.
Off campus, Deb enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling to the beach, being outdoors, woodworking, gardening, and making jewelry.
